Gardner A. Sage Library: Access

Welcome to the Gardner A. Sage Library of New Brunswick Theological Seminary. Often referred to as the “jewel of the campus,” the Sage Library is the physical and digital hub for theological research in the New Brunswick, NJ area.

Sage Library is open to ALL visitors.

Masks must be worn at all times in Sage Library. All visitors must be vaccinated or have proof of a negative Covid-19 test within 48-hours.

Accessing Sage Library

The Sage Library is open to the alumnae/i, faculty, staff, and students of New Brunswick Theological Seminary. Borrowing privileges are also extended to members of the Rutgers University community, local clergy, NYATLA and SEPTLA members, and visiting researchers. 

The following user groups have free borrowing privileges:

New Brunswick Theological Seminary Users

Rutgers University Users

RCA and Local Clergy Users (including chaplains)

SEPTLA and NYATLA Users

Members of the public may purchase borrowing privileges:

Half year $30 

Full year $50

 

 

Database Access

All current NBTS faculty, staff, Doctor of Ministry, and Master's students have remote access to all of our databases. Current NBTS Certificate students have remote access to all databases, except the DTL. For more information, please see this page.

All other users have access to our databases in-house.

Having problems logging into your online library account within the Sage Library catalog?

To log into your account enter your entire Sage Library card barcode number located on the back of your library card or enter your EZ Username information if you have already established one. If you have not yet created or updated your PIN, your number is the last four digits of your barcode.
